Flight House Modern Design Dynamic
California-based Architecture Sage re-imagine the aesthetic values of the mountain home with their work at home Flight - luxury mountain homes in the development of Martis Camp in the high Sierra. The architects give some insight into a fantastic story behind the architecture. This house is meant to be a place to escape from city life, back to nature, and "play together" as a family. We give the name of the house, "Flight home" to reflect the concept of escape but also because of the curved roof line. "Cross-ventilation and an abundance of windows create the desired effect, providing a dynamic effect on the arch.
As Vance Fox pictures of space, architecture Sage explains how the house takes the form: "home graced by two large curved wing-shaped roof to shelter the living room and bedroom key areas. The two wings of the house offers a very different experience with the surrounding environment. In space the main guest, a large space is a slab-on-grade with polished concrete floor that extends to the outside and feel "grounded".
Bedroom wing "take flight" of the land - as the terrain slopes gently down, gradually building up the steps, culminating in a floating glass box 3 side in the master suite to experience a tree house. Entrance to the house is defined by three small curved roof structures, protect visitors and create a soft defined separation between outdoor courtyard space which is located on the front, side sunny exposure outside the home and road. "So you see, this house is built on dreams take flight and eventually became a mountain dream home.
